Take necessary amount of air dry clay
knead or wedge the clay until clay is soft and easy to work with
make acylindrically form and then define the edges to convert it to a cuboid in the size of desired house
cut and remove pieces from the cuboid to form roof slopes

To make openings (doors and windows)
-Mark the openings with a pencil.
-Cut or carve out the openings with a knife or toothpick
Instead of carving you can also paint the openings or press them into the piece with the help of any similar stamps

Make any type of openings as per your interest

Now take a piece of clay and roll the piece with a roller or any cylindrical thing good for rolling

roll the sheet into the desired thickness of the roof you need

Cut strips with the width of the roof (that is little more than the width of the house piece)

Paste the strip on the roof slope with slip or white glue
Cracks might appear while pasting the strips
Use water to smudge the clay and attach cracks to avoid breakage

Air dry the finished pieces in open air for about 24 hours or as per the instructions given in the clay used

When the clay is completely dried, use sand paper to smoothen uneven edges.
Before painting, coat the pieces with white gesso or white acrylic paint.
Paint the house however you like.
You can also glaze the pieces after painting or coat with mod podge or white glue for securing the pieces
