In this video, we’ll explore through animation how the risky “Donkey Route” is used by many migrants trying to reach the United States. Starting from Pakistan, they often travel to Europe, then fly towards South America—entering countries like Bolivia, Guyana, Colombia, or Ecuador due to easier visa-on-arrival policies. From there, they move towards Panama, facing the deadly Darién jungle, filled with wild animals, harsh conditions, and local gangs.

If they survive, migrants continue their journey towards Mexico, eventually attempting to cross the 3,140 km long U.S.–Mexico border, with Tijuana being one of the most chosen crossing points.
