How You're Sinning In Idolatry? -Jake Dietrich

Описание: What is the leading cause (by far) of stress, anxiety, addiction, depression, sickness? Your evil, wicked, deceitful and desperately sick heart (Jeremiah 17 : 9). The sick heart drives your sinful nature (Romans 8) -- the pride of entitlement, self-sufficiency delusion, envy, transgression. Your prideful sinful nature seeks to be God (like Satan, Adam, Eve, etc) did also. This is called idolatry — the 5-Ps: Possessions, Popularity, Pleasure/passions, Position, People. Idolatry is the #1 sin God hates THE MOST (Exodus 20 : 1 - 6, Proverbs 6 : 16 - 17). God sets Himself against the proud who seek idols (James 4 : 6).

God also warns, when our heart and eyes seek idols; then our hearts/bodies/minds are filled with darkness (Matthew 6 : 22). That darkness is called, Fear of Man, the scariest, most painful emotion there is. And even worse, it controls us in our subconscious. Then our Fear of Man triggers F.O.M Talk: "I'm not good enough", "I don't belong", "I'm a mistake/bad". This internal critical voice then triggers us into hidings: Numbing, Perfectionism, Masking, Shoving, Joykill. All these are self-sabotage and they are the cause of SAADS and all its hundreds of symptoms that equal up to over 75% of your life's problems.

Even worse than SAADS: someone who is habitually practicing the sin of idolatry (with no/low repentance) will not only suffer a premature death, but will also suffer the 2nd death -- eternal Hell damnation (Hebrew 9 : 27, Revelation 21:8). Jesus promises this eternal Hell damnation even if someone is doing all the "church" things (Matthew 7 : 21 - 23).

WHAT IS THE ONLY SOLUTION? Only putting faith in Jesus first (not idols), evidenced by repentance — and a commitment to end idolatry everyday (Luke 9 : 23) and putting God first as your faith in Christ (Matthew 6 : 33) is saving grace. It's this grace and mercy from God's love that ultimately cures your sick heart, sinful nature and pride seeking idolatry which causes SAADS (1 John 4 : 18).

If we confess our sins [daily to God and other true believers], he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. And He will pour His grace and mercy everyday into our hearts...to cure us (1 John 1:9, James 5:16, 2 Corinthians 12 : 9 - 10, Matthew 5 : 3-5).
