Yields 7 laddus
To make til laddu, we need:
Ingredients:
1 cup sesame seeds
3/4th cup jaggery
2 Tbsp ghee + extra for greasing hands
2 Tbsp water + extra for water test
1/4th Tsp cardamom powder
Method:
Dry roast the sesame seeds for 6-8 minutes. Transfer them to a blender jar and let them cool down a bit. Then grind them for 6-7 seconds into a coarse powder.
Heat up 2 Tbsp ghee in the same frying pan. Add jaggery. Mix it well with the ghee. Add water. Stir and cook the mixture making sure the jaggery melts. Soon the mixture will start bubbling up. Cook it a bit more. Now do the water test as shown in video. Jaggery mixture should be ready by now, so add the powdered sesame seeds and cardamom powder. Mix well and switch off the flame. While the pan is still hot, keep stirring and cooking the mixture till it starts coming together. Then transfer the mixture onto a plate and shape the laddus while the mixture is still hot. Serve til laddus after they cool down completely.
