Join course director Dr Divya Sharma for a short taster lecture where she'll ask who is producing the food we consume today, where and under what conditions? What are its impacts on health and well-being for people and the non-human world? In this talk, she'll examine the distinctive framings of ‘food security’ and ‘food sovereignty’, drawing on insights from agroecological and food justice movements in the Global North and the Global South that are cultivating alternatives to the industrial food system and more broadly crafting pathways for pluriversal sustainability transformations.
