Shlomit Levi grew up in the small town of Keryat Ekron in Israel, surrounded by the culture and customs of her Yemenite ancestors and traditions. She first remembers singing at the age of 3, sitting on the porch swing while her grandmother knitted baskets and sang Yemenite songs to her.
Now, Shlomit is one of the most respected and powerful singers of Israel and recently resides here in the United States.
Shlomit is widely known for her work with “Orphaned Land”, Israel's breakthrough band of Oriental heavy metal. She also worked with many other leading Israeli artists like Boaz Sharabi, Eti Ankri, and Yair Dalal to mention a few. She has sung on the biggest stages in Israel like the Cesaria Ampitheatre and the Ramat Gan Stadium. Outside Israel Shlomit has performed in England, Bulgaria, Turkey, and last year in the United States with her collaborative, world music project, "Shlomit & RebbeSoul". She has also shared the stage with other international artists such as Metalica.
