And the top U.S. military commanders visiting South Korea to observe the joint drills... will be holding a rare, joint press conference later today.
Admiral Harry Harris, chief of the U.S. Pacific Command,... and General Vincent Brooks, commander of U.S. Forces Korea,... will be speaking to reporters from local and international media outlets.
Lieutenant General Samuel Greaves, the Director of the U.S. Missile Defense Agency,... will join them as well.
They are likely to warn Pyongyang against further provocations,... in light of the regime's threat to fire ballistic missiles at the U.S. island territory of Guam.
They are also expected to reaffirm the South Korea-U.S. military alliance,... and provide assurances that Seoul is protected under Washington's nuclear umbrella.
