What's a Good Walking Shoe?

A common question we hear is "what's a good walking shoe?"

Well that depends. What type of surface will you be walking on? How often will you be walking? Most importantly, what foot type do you have?

There are certain features you should look for in a walking shoe.

1. Rigid Counter- Area that goes around the heel bone to keep the heel in alignment with the leg.

2. Rigid Shank-Shoe should not bend in the middle of the shoe. It should bend where the ball of foot bends.

3. Motion Control- Do you need a neutral shoe? Guided? Maximum? A higher arch usually does not need as much motion control as a foot with a lower arch.
