🎼 About the composer
Josef Seger (1716–1782) was a Bohemian organist, composer, and influential teacher in Prague. He stood at the crossroads between late Baroque and early Classical style and was known for his refined keyboard writing, clear musical architecture, and expressive harmonic language. Seger taught many important Czech composers of the next generation, helping shape the musical transition toward Classicism — yet much of his own music remains a hidden treasure today.

I love bringing forgotten or lesser-known repertoire back to life, and this prelude is a wonderful example of how powerful and uplifting Seger’s music can be when heard on a historic pipe organ.
