While we found this hike doable, we want to stress that this is not an easy trek. We have experience in backcountry hiking, were well-equipped with proper gear, and did this hike in ideal weather conditions. The terrain is steep, exposed, and can be extremely dangerous in poor weather. Many accidents have occurred on this track, and rescues are not uncommon.

March 2025 Brewster Glacier Hike - Our Most Cinematic Adventure Yet!

This is it, our first fully cinematic hiking video, and what a wild adventure it was! The Brewster Glacier Track in New Zealand threw everything at us: relentless climbs, jaw-dropping landscapes, icy glacial swims (yes, we actually jumped in!), and one of the most surreal sights we've ever seen.

From the gruelling ascent to Brewster Hut, to tackling the sketchy unmarked track towards Brewster Glacier, this hike tested us in every way possible. But the real magic? That glacier lake. Think Tongariro meets Mount Taranaki, then throw in an unreal blue glacier that looks straight out of a movie.

💙 Highlights of this adventure:
✅ 1,000m climb straight up in only 2.5km from the valley to the hut
✅ Exploring the unmarked route from Brewster hut to the glacier
✅ Freezing glacial swim (what were we thinking?!)
✅ Epic golden-hour views over the ridgeline
✅ The unexpected ice arch that left us speechless

🔹 Total hike time: 13+ hours (BIG time wondering around the glacier)
🔹 Distance: ~10km return
🔹 Difficulty: Advanced (seriously, your knees will feel it!)
