The finished painting will be up for auction, and proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Jami Rodriguez Memorial Scholarship at Arcadia. Abbey began conducting annual live painting demonstrations in 2011 to honor the memory of her friend, Jami Rodriguez, a 2000 graduate of Arcadia. Jami and Abbey became friends when they were both art students and members of Arcadia’s Student Alumni Association. This event honors Jami as a wonderful artist and friend, and raises awareness about the Jami Rodriguez Memorial Scholarship to honor Jami and her legacy of community service, artistic creativity, and love for Arcadia / Beaver College.
