Why Counseling Fails Men & Boys

Описание: In this episode I examine the American Psychological Association’s 2018 guidelines for working with men and boys and ask a controversial question: are modern counselling approaches actually helping men, or misunderstanding them?

The APA guidelines describe traditional masculinity as a set of traits that can be psychologically harmful. But I argue that this framework reflects a particular ideological worldview within modern psychology — one shaped by progressive politics and a therapeutic culture that increasingly views male behaviour through the lens of pathology.
