We get a lot of questions about the Heart Rate accuracy on the trackers and smartwatches we review. Today we’ll be looking at the Heart Rate accuracy of Samsung Galaxy Fit 2, Amazfit Band 5, Xiaomi Mi Band 5 and Honor Band 6! Baseline will be the Heart Rate Measured by Polar H10 Chest Strap!
And at the end of the video we’ll be showing the Top 5 HR sensors from all the smart watches and trackers we’ve tested to date!

The 4 trackers are all in the super budget price segment by the way, all priced under $50. But they are all 2020 models. Honor Band 6 has the most unreliable sensor of the 4. In general, the average results are quite a bit off the mark because the HR does not register the peaks too well. Hence last place for the Honor’s Band 6.

Considering the variances of Galaxy Fit 2 it looks like it’s in third place… but in all honesty with the disappointing HR plot it’s tough to do any kind of serious analysis here. Xiaomi Mi Band shows really good results, apart from the 2 misreadings of the troughs at the start of the run the tracing of the HR is very close to Polar H10.

And the first place actually goes to Amazfit Band 5! There’s only 1 obvious reading that’s out of sync with the chest strap! Otherwise the optical HR sensor is almost in line with the ECG HRM.
