History with AI: San Diego Horton Plaza Walkthrough June 2003 Upscaled with AI

Описание: In June of 2003 I visited the Horton Plaza Mall in downtown San Diego and filmed this walkthrough with a standard definition DV camcorder. I recently found this footage in my archive and it seemed like a great subject for AI upscaling!

This version has been upscaled 2X both in time and frame rate using AI tools:
The Original video was 480i 29.97 FPS
This Upscaled version is 960p 54.94 FPS

Why Horton Plaza

I had visited there a few times and I really loved the multiple half levels and changing building styles throughout. I thought it would be a fun subject for a video someday (it is!)

About this video
I used my tool to drop scenes that I felt were a bit invasive of people's privacy, like larger clear face shots. People can be seen but hopefully nobody feels it's inappropriate. In any case, it was filmed in a publicly-accessible location with a non-concealed handheld camera.
