In God’s Forgiveness Math, we walk through Matthew 18:26–35 and Jesus’ powerful parable of the unforgiving servant. A man is forgiven an unpayable debt — and then immediately turns around and violently demands repayment from someone who owes him far less. The numbers don’t add up. And that’s exactly the point.

Jesus shows us three realities:
• We cannot repay God.
• Unprocessed mercy turns into harsh justice.
• Forgiven people forgive.

The servant asked for time. The king gave mercy. Grace is never earned — it is granted. When we forget the magnitude of what God has forgiven us, we become small, defensive, and demanding. But when we truly understand the depth of our cancellation, it transforms the way we treat others. Forgiveness stops feeling optional and starts looking like evidence that we’ve actually grasped the gospel.

At Navigation Church, we exist to live the truth in love, lead others to Christ, and grow deeper in our relationship with Jesus. Understanding God’s forgiveness is central to all three.
