Gopalpur-On-Sea is a coastal town on the Bay of Bengal coast in Ganjam district in the southern part of Odisha, India. It is a commercial port and a famous sea beach attracting tourists throughout the year.

How to Reach: Gopalpur is around 16 km from Berhampur which is a major city near to this coastal town.
A) By train -- Brahmapur (BAM) rail station is part of the East Coast Railway and South Eastern Railway, hence well connected with major cities.
B) By Air -- The nearest airport is Bhubaneshwar Airport which is 153 km away from Berhampur. The Visakhapatnam Airport is 253 km away from Berhampur. You can take a flight to these airports and then either take a taxi or a bus to reach Berhampur, and then avail an auto or cab to reach Gopalpur that may take around 40 minutes.
C) By bus or road -- Regular bus services are connected to the major cities and towns of Odisha.

Where to Stay: The short marine drive road at Gopalpur-On-Sea has a series of resorts and hotels that can provide direct sea view to travelers. Compared to many other famous beach destinations, Gopalpur accommodations are cheaper too.

B) Gopalpur light house
C) Tara Tarini Temple and ropeway
D) Rambha and Chilika lake (boating)
E) Tampara lake (water sports and boating)

How many days required: A total of 3 nights should be allotted for a relaxed vacation at Gopalpur. Rambha is a day-trip and coupled with Tampara, it may take a full day.
