Tonight, I will test the camera of the new iPhone 11 Pro. I will test the ultra-wide, wide, and telephoto camera, as well as do a walking test and a timelapse. All footage will be recorded in 4K 60FPS.

Nowadays, most premium smartphones shoot beautiful videos in perfect lighting conditions. But how about night time or low light conditions? Well, most phones are not suitable for night time shooting and the iPhone 11 Pro is no exception. If you vlog at night, the new iPhone will not give you the ultimate result. I also noticed a terrible lens flare which makes the footage almost useless. Let’s get to the test.


First iPhone 11 Pro Test: Ultra Wide Camera Lens
The ultra-wide camera is not suitable for night shooting. Never use Ultra-Wide camera at night. The aperture is too small which blocks a lot of light and causes too much noise in the video.


Second iPhone 11 Pro Test: Wide Camera Lens
The wide lens handles the low light situations a lot better than the ultra-wide lens. However, the footage is not good enough. Keep in might that I’m shooting in a well-lit location. Luckily, I caught the police cruiser.


Third iPhone 11 Pro Test: Telephoto Camera Lens
The telephoto camera had issues focusing. It’s definitely not suitable for night shooting.


Fourth iPhone 11 Pro Test: Walking Test
The walking test was recorded handheld, so the footage is wobbly. I did not apply any stabilization in post-production. For walking videos, I recommend using a mobile stabilizer such as DJI Osmo 3, Zhiyun Smooth 4, or Zhiyun Q2.


Fifth iPhone 11 Pro Test: Timelapse
The timelapse came out fine, but because of the lens flare, the footage is useless. I'm wondering if there are any filters to eliminate the flare.
