Set on a small alien planet living under the shadow of an impending natural disaster, the film follows a young girl who longs to explore the galaxy beyond her home. When new pilot lessons become available, she finally gets the chance she’s always dreamed of — leaving behind her everyday life, and her younger brother, to see what lies beyond their world.
What begins as a joyful journey of exploration slowly shifts in tone. As the girl travels across distant planets, documenting her adventures and sending messages back home, the warnings she once ignored begin to surface. When communication from her brother suddenly stops, excitement turns into urgency — and she is forced to confront the cost of leaving, and the fragile line between pursuing dreams and protecting those who depend on us.

Out Of Orbit was created as a reflection on ambition and care — how easy it is to focus on our own goals while assuming everything else will wait. I wanted to explore the emotional gap that can form between siblings when one grows faster than the other, and how love often shows itself most clearly in moments of fear and urgency.
By placing the story in a colorful, alien world, the film approaches serious themes gently — allowing viewers of any age to connect with the emotions underneath. The looming disaster is always present, even when it’s ignored, mirroring how real-life consequences often exist quietly in the background until it’s too late to look away.
