Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill contains a section that has been little covered in the media - the return of the auto loan interest deduction.
Once removed by Republicans in the 80s to simplify the tax code, it's being added back in now to push american made vehicles.
There's almost certainly going to be changes before the final bill is passed, but interestingly the tax deduction is powertrain silent, meaning while the $7500 tax credit for EVs may go away, a $10,000 per year interest deduction may take it's place.
