THE RECIPE IS DOWN HERE!!!! Here is another installment of Let's Cook. Today its panna cotta. i shot this at around two in the morning so its not as enegetic as i would have liked but what can you do :P
RECIPE:
8 3/4 cups (2 L and 180 mL)...........................Milk
3 packets (1Tbsp [15 mL] or four sheets)....Gelatin
1 Cup (250 mL)..................................................Sugar
2 Tbsp (30 mL)...................................................Vanilla
HOW TO:
start the gelatin in the 3/4 cup of milk
put the milk in a large sauce pan (pot) and begin to heat on medium/medium high
add sugar and vanilla (if you want a different vanilla taste add the vanilla at the end
heat milk until scalded
once milk is scalded, remove from heat and add two ladels of hot milk into the gelatin which was started in the cold milk
add the warmed gelatin mixture to the pot and stir well
strain the mixture to ensure its smooth and then ladel into serving dishes
chill 8-24 hours (until it's set)
serve in or out of the molding dish and serve cold or slightly warmed (warm up in water bath)
VARITATIONS:
you can put pretty much whatever you want in or on or under the panna cotta just be sure to adjust the gelatin level if you are adding a liquid flavouring.
