This brief video story explains the process of building a reef ecosystem foundation using only recycled materials that may have otherwise ended up in a landfill. The reef project featured was placed offshore Jacksonville Florida in August of 2013 in 73 feet of water.
Watch how material was acquired and logistically handled, how the artificial reef site was selected, and see underwater video of the reef immediately captured after the placement.
A big thanks to Larry Davis who shot most of the video clips featured in this piece. Joe Kistel and Ed Kalakauskis are the narrators featured in the story.
