Phonograph Cylinder owned by Elvis Presley at Graceland.
A good friend of mine Jon Baddeley visited the home of Elvis Presley Graceland and took a photo of the Edison Amberola 30 Phonograph that is behind glass. On closer inspection we were able to see what cylinder was left on the mandrel. the cylinder is Edison Blue Amberol 3117 Since Maggie Dooley learned the hooley hooley' song by Ada Jones. recorded march 1917 (the same year this Amberola 30 was made)
Was this the last cylinder Elvis played ?(did he have any other cylinders?) did he acquire the machine or had it been in the family? I happen to own a copy of this cylinder and an Amberola 30 I would like to share it with you to document this. I hope you all enjoy!
