Описание: Hi everyone 👋 Steve here – better known as Stick Man Steve! Welcome back to my travel series from the St George Hotel Spa & Beach Resort, Paphos, Cyprus.

This is Vlog 6 of my 10-part series and in this episode we take you with us on a truly special adventure – the Village Venture: Troodos Mountains Food & Wine Tour. If you’ve been following along, you’ll know we’re here in Cyprus for 8 nights on an All Inclusive Plus holiday with Jet2 Holidays. We flew direct from Manchester Airport ✈️ and are staying at the beautiful Adults Only St George Hotel & Spa Resort in Chlorakas, Paphos.

We started the day bright and early with our first breakfast at Thea – Live Cooking Buffet Restaurant. A couple of double espressos ☕ (our morning essential!) and a plate full of omelettes, tomatoes, sausage and fruit – we needed plenty of energy for what was going to be a long but unforgettable day.

Our excursion, booked through Viator, cost around £105 each. Not cheap, but we had high hopes, and it turned out to be worth every penny. The group was small – just six of us – and our guide Mira was fantastic, full of knowledge and passion for Cypriot food and wine.

Here’s where the day took us:

Stop 1: Axyloy Traditional Halloumi Cheese Factory, Paphos – Meet a local lady who still makes halloumi and anari the traditional way. Watch the process and, of course, enjoy a delicious tasting! 🧀

Stop 2: Byzantine Icons, Agios Photios, Paphos – Sample homemade jams, fresh biscuits and flavoured teas, before meeting the talented artist behind the beautiful hand-painted icons. 🍯 🎨

🍷 Stop 3: Chrysorrogiatissa Monastery, Pano Panagia – Explored this historic monastery and tasted Commandaria, the world’s oldest named wine (over 5,000 years of history and a Guinness World Record!).

🥙 Stop 4: Kokkinos Tavern, Polemi – A traditional Cypriot meze lunch with drinks – all included. The flavours were incredible.

🍇 Stop 5: Tsangarides Winery, Lemona – Discovered organic Cypriot wines with a full tasting in a beautiful village setting.

🍬 Stop 6: Aphrodite Delights, Geroskipou – Sampled traditional Cypriot sweets including Loukoumi (similar to Turkish delight), still handmade by local families.

It’s a day filled with authentic Cypriot food, flavours and culture – perfect if you’re planning excursions around Paphos!

We arrived back at the St George Hotel around 5.30pm, a little tired but full of great memories (and food & wine!). That evening we had a reservation at Shoga Asian à la carte restaurant – all included within the All Inclusive Plus package. The sushi starter was absolutely incredible 🍣, followed by beef and salmon teppanyaki mains, and some amazing desserts with Cypriot wine. Honestly, it was one of the best meals of our holiday.

We ended the night at Drops Terrace with bingo, a couple of drinks, and then headed to bed after a long day.
