Upside Down Apple Puff Pastry
Ingredients:
-1 large apple, thinly sliced to 1/8”-1/4” width
-1 sheet of puff pastry, cut into 6 portions
-6 tbs honey plus more if needed
-1 tbs ground cinnamon
-3 tbs melted butter
Instructions:
-preheat oven to 375F
-line a baking sheet with parchment paper
-drizzle 1 tbs of honey in a 3”x1” strip onto the baking sheet; repeat 6 times, evenly spacing the strips apart
-sprinkle the honey strips with cinnamon
-place down 6-8 slices of apple onto each honey strip, slightly overlapping the slices
-drizzle honey over the slices and sprinkle with cinnamon
-place a rectangular portion of puff pastry over the apple slices
-use a fork to press the edges down against the baking sheet
-brush melted butter on top of the pastries
-bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown
-remove from heat and allow to cool for 10 minutes
-use a spatula to gently scrape and flip the pastries over
-enjoy!
