After the blazing sun of 2022 this year's Timberhonger 10K took place in a wet and windy Bromsgrove on Saturday 15 July 2023. The neighbouring town to my home town of Redditch holds this race during the early evening of the Bromsgrove Carnival starting and finishing in Sanders Park. The route features the infamous Timberhonger Hill, a proper leg burner, which you run up and down both on the way out and the way back in to the final stretch. In completely opposite conditions to last year we set out and took on the tough course. In a complete surprise to myself I ran a great race hunting down runners who flew away at the start. In a field of 283 runners what position did I manage to get? Have a watch to find out.
