Today, my mom and I are taking a day trip to Dover, located about 1.5 hours via train from London.
We visit the iconic white cliffs and enjoy a beautiful walk to the South Foreland Lighthouse, the first lighthouse to use an electric light. We start our walk down in the town of Dover, walking through sleepy streets and enjoying castle views along the way to the trailhead. We climbed up to the National Trust, enjoying views of the port to our right. Though cloudy and windy, we enjoyed the views of the white cliffs and tried to squint our eyes to make out the French border on the horizon.
