With the ILO moving towards globally binding standards on platform work and India’s legislative landscape evolving swiftly (Labour codes and state legislations), this conversation comes at a particularly important moment.

The webinar, "Towards Gender Justice in India’s Platform Economy: Legislation, Inclusion, and Future Pathways", aims to discuss issues and concerns on these new developments from a gender and intersectional lens. It will also focus on the pathways for a gender just legal framework and policies which will enable more women to enter the gig economy. The discussion from this webinar will be developed into a think piece on the issue.

This webinar convenes researchers, policymakers, legal experts, labour practitioners, and worker representatives.
