As per the latest news on Mirror Now, the big decision by the Centre is to reduce the excise duty at this point in time. The excised duty is reduced by Rs.8/liter and on diesel by Rs.6/liter. The price of petrol will reduce by Rs.9.50/ liter and diesel by Rs.7/liter. This is a series of tweets by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman who says that a subsidy will be given Rs.200/gas cylinder for up to 12 cylinders over 9 crores beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. This issue has been extremely contentious. The fuel price has been skyrocketing.
