Giant River Turtle!

Описание: On today's adventure, while out filming a snake documentary, we stumbled upon the biggest river cooter I've ever seen!

Join Cajun Boy (Zachary Gray) as we find one of Louisiana's most commonly found species of turtle, the river cooter! As always we hope y'all enjoy this video! :D

River cooters, like their name suggests, spend most of their time in river systems throughout the eastern United States. They are a species of slider, and look similar to the red eared slider turtle, also found commonly throughout the states. They tend to stay in or near the water, however, this specific turtle was coming out of the water looking for a nest sight. While many turtles do get much MUCH bigger than this turtle, such as the alligator snapping turtle or the spiny soft shell, this individual was extremely large. However, they normally when full grown average about 6 to 8 inches in length.
