KOTITI는 글로벌 종합 시험인증기관으로서 미래 성장동력을 위한 공간을 확보하고 연구원의 근로 환경 개선을 위하여 신사옥을 건립하고자 하였다. 계획안은 THE LAB AURORA라는 KOTITI 연구의 다양한 스펙트럼이라는 미래 지향적인 컨셉을 빌딩 디자인에 적용하였다. 과천지식정보타운의 새로운 아이콘이자 융복합사고가 활발히 일어나는 R&D 건축의 표본인 창의적인 연구소, 다변화하는 시장에 능동적인 변화가 가능한 미래지향 연구소라는 세 가지 전략으로 접근하였다. 또 다른 도약을 준비하는 KOTITI가 신사옥 THE LAB AURORA 통해 새로운 성장동력을 구축하는 데 일조하고자 한다.

KOTITI, as a global testing-inspection and research institute, was planned to build a new headquarter to secure space for new momentum for growth and improve the working environment of researchers. "The Lab Aurora", the futuristic concept of the diverse spectrum of KOTITI research was applied to the building design. It was approached with three strategies, a new icon of Gwacheon Knowledge Information Town, a proto-type of R&D creative research center where convergent thinking lively, and a future-oriented research center in response actively to the diversifying market. KOTITI preparing of another leap forward, is to help for the new momentum for growth via the new headquarter, "The Lab Aurora".
