Why should we even care about what happens during the tribulation?

Matthew 9:13 - "For I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance"

We do not want to become so focused on ourselves and our own rewards that we become too comfortable instead of witnessing to the lost.

2 Peter 3:9 - "The Lord is not slack concerning His promises, as some count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that ANY should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

People won't understand why they need saving if they are not first made aware of the dangers that are coming. It is an act of compassion and love to warn them so that they may repent before the tribulation.

Ezekiel 33:6-8 - "But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand.’

“So you, son of man: I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore you shall hear a word from My mouth and warn them for Me. 8 When I say to the wicked, ‘O wicked man, you shall surely die!’ and you do not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand."

Some people are brought to salvation with compassion, while others are saved through fear.

Jude 1:22 - "And on some have compassion, making a distinction; but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh."
