Economist Peter Schiff has warned that China is positioning itself to challenge the US dollar’s dominance by backing its currency with gold and other commodities. Speaking to Rick Sanchez on RT’s Sanchez Effect, Schiff argued that the yuan could gain global credibility because it is supported by tangible assets, unlike the dollar, which he says is backed only by trust.
