Long Hair FUE also called non-shave FUE or unshaven FUE, is when the donor area is not shaved during follicular unit extraction surgery. In long hair FUE, the hair is removed with long hair shafts. This way, they can be implanted in their long form so the patient can preview their results right away. It also helps to conceal some evidence of the surgery.
However, it should be noted that grafted long hair shafts are likely to shed within weeks of implantation. Thus even hair implanted in the long-form will be shed, and the person must wait the necessary 3.5-4 months for the new hair to begin growing.
