The new book “Aban Gagan Thakur”, published by Chitrakoot Art Gallery and edited by Prakash Kejriwal and Prabhas Kejriwal, was officially launched at Oxford Book Store. The event was graced by distinguished guests including Dipali Bhattacharya, Rita Bimani, Pei Liang, Soumyajit Ray, Ritu Saigal, and Shivshree Ukil. The entire event was organized by Umesh Mehta.
In 2022, Chitrakoot Art Gallery had published the book “Retracing the Lines” on Jamini Roy. That book gained popularity and appreciation among art lovers and readers. Following that success, the idea of editing and publishing “Aban Gagan Thakur” emerged — a vision that had actually begun four years ago. The book would not have been possible without guidance, and the insights and encouragement of many individuals and institutions helped in realizing this perspective.
