In this video, I will show you the hardware of the DIY Smart Power Strip and then show you how to assemble it. The brain of this device is an ESP8266 with some relays tied to outlets which uses my V2 firmware so we can control it through MQTT from Home Assistant, OpenHAB 2, Amazon Echo, Google Home, and HomeKit/Siri. I use this device to control my computer setup and tv setup.
