As part of Black History Month, former Lancashire CCC and England cricket international Mike Watkinson, who is now our Director of Sport here at MGS, delivered an Assembly to Middle School and Sixth-Form pupils entitled 'Cricket and the Apartheid'.
During the talk, he discussed the role cricket played during the Apartheid Era in South Africa and his own experiences of touring South Africa with the England cricket team in 1995/6, during which he met Nelson Mandela.
