Setting off from Aberfeldy, Perth & Kinross, I hiked a 14 mile loop out towards Kenmore. Rising high above the villages and out on to open moorland - a truly remote place.

I camped after 8 miles close to a small lochan. With high winds it made for a long night but beautiful non the less. The morning was a lovely return walk in lovely sunshine back to the Birks of Aberfeldy.
The highlight of the trip was visiting The Birks of Aberfeldy for the fist time. A great place - beautiful woodland walks and amazing waterfalls.
The hike took me along part of the Rob Roy Way and visited the place made famous by Scottish poet Robert 'Rabbie' Burns...
