In this woodworking video watch as I show you how I made a chicken coop that I use to temporarily house the chickens when I’m either cleaning their cage or transitioning them from one cage into another. I wanted something that would break down easily, so that I could store in the barn without taking up too much space. Assembled, the chicken coop is approximately 60" x 30" x 30"
The first fast paced two minutes of the video show the 30-45 minute process of me designing the initial vector file in Adobe illustrator. I then take the Adobe illustrator file into V Carve Pro to create the cut paths.
The wood use is three-quarter inch Baltic Birch ply. 60" x 60" I coat with a spar vanish from total boat. This will never live outside consistently, so I am not worried about the longevity of the wood. This chicken coop will only be used to transition baby birds.
