The ABS is a braking system works to stop and reset the ram when it encounters too much resistance. This type of resistance may come from something like a knotted piece of wood. Once it hits this type of resistance it will automatically retract and reset to be engaged again. Taking off the extra stress on racking system components will prolong the life and effectiveness of the machine.
