ZenScanner overview. These tools are designed to highlight stocks showing notable movement, momentum, volatility or trading activity, helping traders quickly identify names that may deserve further chart analysis.

IMPORTANT: SCANNERS ARE NOT BUY OR SELL SIGNALS

A stock appearing on a scanner is only a prompt to examine its chart. Traders must perform their own price-action analysis, confirm that the setup matches a defined strategy and wait for an entry that meets that strategy’s rules.

A proper strategy should define the entry setup, stop-loss, profit target or exit method, and maximum acceptable loss **before the trade is entered**. Scanner activity should never replace analysis, risk management or disciplined execution.

Displays stocks showing momentum as they move toward their High of Day (HoD).

• MOMO HoD Tiles (Discord)
A visual representation of stocks moving toward HoD. Each tile’s vertical position maps the current price between Low of Day (bottom red line), VWAP (middle yellow line) and High of Day (top green line).

A blinking green dot appears when a stock is near or at HoD and triggers the female voice alert. A blinking blue chevron appears when a stock rises more than 5% within the latest rolling two-minute window and triggers the male voice alert. The chevron is linked to the 2min. Momo UP scanner.

• Events List
Displays a chronological log of scanner voice alerts.

• 2min. Momo UP / DOWN
Tick-based scanners measuring price movement over a rolling two-minute window.

UP displays stocks rising more than 3%. The male voice alert triggers above 5%.
DOWN displays stocks falling more than 3%.

• Gap UP / DOWN
Display the 25 stocks with the largest percentage gains or declines relative to the start of the current market segment:

Pre-market: previous trading day’s close
Regular market hours: 9:30 a.m. opening price
After-hours: 4:00 p.m. closing price

• Watchlist UP / DOWN
Evaluate the day’s strongest or weakest performers and highlight stocks with the best proprietary movement-performance and potential score. UP focuses on upside candidates; DOWN focuses on downside candidates.

Display interpretation:
• One or a few large tickers filling the frame: strongest candidates to focus on and analyze
• One or a few tickers not filling the frame: best available movers, but with limited overall quality or potential
• Many smaller tickers filling the frame: several similar candidates, with no clear consensus
• Many smaller tickers not filling the frame: mostly noise, with no particularly strong candidate

PROPRIETARY COLUMNS

• ZenV
Measures the slope and direction of VWAP.
Green: VWAP trending upward
Red: VWAP trending downward

• ZenP
Estimates volatility potential. Scores above 2 generally indicate stronger potential. Higher scores also imply greater price movement and risk, requiring tighter risk management.

• AtrSprd
Measures how much of the stock’s ATR-based volatility is represented by the bid-ask spread. It helps filter out stocks whose spread is excessive relative to their normal movement.

• AtrVwap
Distance between the latest price and VWAP, expressed in ATR units.
Green: above VWAP
Red: below VWAP

• AtrHod
Distance between the latest price and High of Day, expressed in ATR units. Green indicates the stock is less than one ATR away from HoD.

• 2min%
Tick-based price change over the latest rolling two-minute window.

• ZenVR
A proprietary short-term volume-activity metric used to filter out stocks with insufficient activity. It is similar to volume per second, with additional price weighting to better reflect the significance of the traded volume.
