2025 CVWC Clear Lake Tournament

Описание: Come tag along for the second 2025 Cedar Valley Walleye Club tournament, which took place at Clear Lake, IA on May 3rd.

This was my first tournament after getting my new 2025 Skeeter WXR2060 AND the first tournament where I decided to run the camera gear non-stop. This added a lot of overhead before we launched and caused some mistakes, but luckily they didn't cost us any fish (just time).

We found plenty of slot walleye, but we couldn't track down the big girls. We had 1 or 2 opportunities in the early morning, but couldn't get them to go.

This was our first time really leaning into Livescope on Clear Lake. Previously we pitched jigs on rock piles, but I found the fish weren't really there during pre-fishing. After some tweaks and practice with the Garmin stuff, I was able to find them in shallower weed pockets, especially if there was a hard bottom in/near the pocket. After 20+ slot fish, we decided to start cruising open water outside of the weeds beds in the late afternoon. We upgraded a few fish, but never found that 25+.
