Bach - Toccata and Fugue in D minor (Pokémon DPP Soundfont)

Описание: The Toccata and Fugue in D minor is easily Bach's most recognizable organ piece, even if it's partly because of its (perhaps too frequent) use in horror settings.
The ultra-famous opening is both bizarre and striking. It is also a bit indicative of most of the music that's to come in the first section of the piece, the Toccata. The name "Toccata" was usually given to pieces filled with flights of fancy and flourishes, apparently to show off the player's skills. This Toccata certainly fills those requirements and thus maintains an improvisation-like character.

The bulk of the work, though, is to be found in the second section, the Fugue (2:30). Despite it being somewhat simple compared to Bach's other fugues, it still offers a wide array of delights, such as a cheerful melody that literally soars above the brooding minor-key music that preceded it (3:54).
Other highlights include an immensely passionate melodic line with masterful polyphonic accompaniment (5:21) and a varied, somewhat brighter reprise of it later on (6:06).
At the height of all this, the fugue ends with an exultant and jubilant climax (6:29), which subsequently darkens and slows down (6:45).

Interestingly, the fugue is given an extended, multi-sectional coda that seemingly returns to the manner of the Toccata, frequently changing in both mood and speed. Ultimately, the coda ends with a series of broad chords (8:05), concluding the piece in an unmistakably tragic tone.
