In this video I take you through my new go to Boom Audio Solution when shooting with a DSLR, mirrorless camera or on the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K - for those times when you need the best quality audio but you only have access to use a 3.5mm input jack and you don't want to have to have a seperate audio interface or recorder with you on set.

What I love about the Rode RODELink Newsshooter kit TX-XLR unit is that it eliminates so much hassle of having to have a seperate audio solution on hand. I can get clean and crip boom audio directly onto my footage and no matter the application I have a solution that just works. I can even use the Rode Microphone Filmmaker Newsshooter kit to run Lavaliere microphone with the included pouch and belt loop. Having 40dB CLEAN pre-amp gain through the unit itself is an absolute game changer and will give you great results from any powered boom mic like the Rode NTG2 or the Rode NTG4+ right out of the gate. Is this the best solution at this price point for my type of filmmaking? Yew, it absolutely is.
