This day of mahi mahi fishing was so epic and we were in my new boat out of Oregon Inlet in the Outer Banks! As a bonus I got to spearfish a triggerfish and a cobia, but the mahi were absolutely loaded and we got them on a piece of trash and on light action tackle on jigs!
Location: in the Ocean nearshore out of Oregon Inlet
Tackle: Light Action 3000 series reels and 15 lb test flouro with 1/4oz jighead and swimbaits
Tips: Look for grass, bait, and anything floating.. oh, and always have your spear gear and bucktails for cobia !
