హుస్సేన్ సాగర్‌ హైదరాబాదు నగరపు నడిబొడ్డున ఒక మానవ నిర్మిత సరస్సు. ఈ జలాశయాన్ని 1562లో ఇబ్రహీం కులీ కుతుబ్ షా పాలనా కాలములో హజ్రత్ హుస్సేన్ షా వలీచే నిర్మింపబడింది. 24 చదరపు కిలోమీటర్ల వైశాల్యమున్న ఈ సరస్సు నగరం యొక్క మంచినీటి, సాగునీటి అవసరాలను తీర్చటానికి మూసీ నది నిర్మించబడింది. చెరువు మధ్యలో హైదరాబాదు నగర చిహ్నముగా ఒక ఏకశిలా బుద్ధ విగ్రహాన్ని 1992లో స్థాపించారు. దీనికి పక్కన నెక్ లెస్ రోడ్ ఉంది.[1] ఇక్కడ 1920లో హుస్సేన్ సాగర్ థర్మల్ పవర్ స్టేషన్ నిర్మించబడింది.
