This short film is a tribute to John Clare (1793–1864), the "Peasant Poet" of Northamptonshire a man of humble birth, deep feeling, and wild brilliance. Through richly textured visuals, original music, and poetic narration, Fields of Unwritten Song traces his life from barefoot boyhood to asylum walls, capturing his love of nature, his struggle with enclosure, and his unyielding devotion to verse.

Featuring two original compositions by David Goosey:
