The Tamil Nadu unit of the BJP began a hunger strike on Tuesday to condemn the killing of an Indian Army soldier by a DMK councillor and his aides. Prabhu, a 28-year-old soldier of the Indian Army, was beaten to death by DMK councillor and his aides following a dispute over washing clothes near a water tank in Tamil Nadu's Krishnagiri. The hunger strike is to seek justice for Prabhu and for the attack on the residence of party's Scheduled Castes wing chief 'Tada' Periyasamy, the BJP said.
