Protest as bulldozers clear houses

Описание: (30 Jul 2015) Residents of impoverished areas of Islamabad took to the streets on Thursday in protest at the demolition of homes in an illegal settlement in Islamabad.
The Islamabad administration used police and paramilitary to move forward with the planned operation to demolish the houses after the Islamabad High Court ordered the demolition of "illegal slums" in the federal capital.
Footage filmed by the Associated Press showed a partially dressed toddler being removed from a home by police shortly before it was bulldozed.
A large number of residents gathered around bulldozers and hurled stones at police and paramilitary personnel.
The Capital Development Authority (CDA), which carried out the demolition, claimed that the area had been illegally occupied in 2005.
The city administration said it had sent residents several notices and given them ample time to vacate the land before initiating the operation today.
