This Art Project Is Harder Than I Thought

Project Monday continues.
Bella vs Aliens—an ongoing art + storytelling project where I show up every Monday until it’s finished.

Over the week I decided to finish the city around the alien and make it feel like a real place—a wider world that supports the story. So today we build two new city panels: buildings, chimneys, a bridge, windows, smoke, moving water, and a quiet night sky with stars.

This episode is about trusting the process—letting lines be imperfect, letting colors be suggestive, and keeping things simple so the piece can breathe. I’m using my own panel as reference to keep continuity (light spilling from windows, water flow, and the shapes we already established), and I’m working looser than last week—less tape, more instinct.

There’s also real life woven into the session: a busy week, health reflections, and the reminder that the best decisions come from learning, research, and listening to your intuition. And through it all, Bella’s right here—steady company while the story keeps moving.
