It's not meant to portray Kagome and Kikyou as lesbians :o It's more of a sisterly relationship, and no at the end it's not supposed to be a kiss :D There may be a Part 2. Maybe not.

Story;
The video starts when Kagome climbs through the well and into the feudal era for the first time. She tries to find her way home and sees the Goshinboku, a familiar landmark. Excited, she runs towards it, but when she climbs through, she sees a beautiful (-cough- don't like this word for some reason / or rather feel uncomfortable saying it) miko (priestess) standing by a stream.
The priestess introduces herself as Kikyou and brings Kagome back to her home, which she shares with her younger sister Kaede. She listens to Kagome's story and later, as Kagome falls asleep, she has a feeling of uncertainty and thinks about the first time she saw Kikyou and how the children warmed up to her. Deciding that Kikyou was truly kind, she fell asleep.
Over the next few days, Kagome started to train, missing at first. On the way back from training one day, Urasue, who works for Naraku, unleashes hordes of demons on the village and swipes Kagome away. For the sake of the village's safety, Kikyou can do nothing but stay and defend the village. As she is distracted by worry for Kagome, she is not as sharp as usual and while trying to protect her sister from a demon she overlooked, Kaede injured her eye badly.
At night, when all the demons had perished, Kikyou traveled to the edge of the village, to the place Kagome first saw her, which was now mostly smouldering wreckage. The priestess cuts off a lock of her hair and passes it to her two Shinidamachuu. She instructs them that if she should die while carrying out her revenge on Naraku, they should show the lock of hair to Kagome in order for her to trust them and protect her. The Shinidamachuu then fly off.
Kikyou flashes back on a time when she went into a cave on a mission and told Kagome to stay behind. However, Kagome follows her and finds her unconscious after her souls were stolen.
Meanwhile in Naraku's castle, Naraku tells Kagome about his plan to kill Kikyou (and get rid of his human heart, thus ridding himself of any feelings for Kikyou, blah blah blah). Just then, Kikyou enters with the Shikon jewel and tosses it on the floor, giving it to Naraku in exchange for getting Kagome back. Kagome collapses from exhaustion (don't ask me where the ropes went XD) and grudgingly, Naraku lets Kagome go.
In her dreams, Kagome recalls a time in a cave, when they were both tired and were resting from a mission.
When she wakes up, she sees Kikyou looking down at her and her bed is surrounded by healers. Later, the healers leave and after ensuring that Kagome was all right, Kikyou leaves to carry out revenge on Naraku for everything (Kagome's kidnapping + loooong story about Kikyou's past life which I am too lazy to ever go into 8D).
Kikyou reaches Mt. Hakurei and battles Naraku. She is defeated and meanwhile, Kagome remembers that she forgot to warn Kikyou about Naraku's threat. Panicking, she hurries outside to see the Shinidamachuu. Her eyes catch the (imaginary) lock of Kikyou's hair in their grasp and she follows them worriedly, only to find her friend already dying.
Kikyou spends her last moments with Kagome and the Shinidamachuu carries her soul Among The Twinkling Stars.
